The exam was held in February 2021 for admission to 6th standard in Navodaya Vidyalayas across India. Candidates from various states participated in the exam, which was divided into three phases. These include the Preliminary Test, Main Exam and Interview. The Preliminary Test was conducted in the first week of February 2021 for all registered candidates. Those who cleared the preliminary test then appeared for the Main Exam and Interview, which were conducted in mid-February 2021.
The selection process is based on merit and the marks obtained by the students in the exam are taken into consideration in order to reach a decision. The marks obtained by each student in the Main Exam and Interview were added up to make a combined merit list. As per the merit list, the admission to a particular Vidyalaya has been granted.
